Efficient Power Conversion Corp. produces GaN transistors. Their GaN transistors enable high efficiency switching and power amplification for high frequency wireless power transfer, such as 6.78MHz used in the Rezence standard. By using EPC’s technology, an OEM can have higher efficiency, lower heating, and a BOM with fewer passive components.
BUT… In order to receive all of the benefits of the EPC system, you need an equally high efficiency/High Q transmitter resonator. EPC turned to NuCurrent to fill this need.

Based on NuCurrent’s patented ML Wire and MLMT Antenna technology, NuCurrent designed and delivered High Q PCB resonators that are used in EPC’s evaluation kits and which can be customized to suit the specific needs of customers leveraging EPC’s GaN transistors.
