Position Title: Technical Business Development Manager

Experience: +5 Years’ experience in a Business Development / Channel Management / Technical Sales role in the electronics technology field. Experienced working with a variety of Partners serving diverse customer segments that generate leads, drive mutual share expansion, and expand company growth (Start-up experience preferred). Experience managing partners / channels and influencing collaborative efforts of resources within diverse organizations.  Proven ability to achieve business objectives, manage through change, resolve conflicts, ensure collaboration within teams and use solid business judgement to keep aligned with Company strategy; includes maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct, integrity, and appropriate levels of urgency. Comfortable working in a global company with cultural diversity and fast pace growth. BS Eng / Bus or equiv. Willing to travel as required (10-30% expected).

Overview: We are looking for an experienced Technical Business Development professional who is self-motivated, analytical, and detail and action-oriented to help accelerate our growing wireless power business. Working through established partnerships and establishing new ones, the selected candidate will help us accelerate our existing business by raising awareness at partners, developing strategies to increase lead generation, engaging with partner management and executive teams to develop market expansion projects. and closing. Works closely with sales, marketing, engineering and operations teams to create develop leads, create proposals, manage contracts, and uses company tools to manage and report activities.


  • Lead and coordinate NuCurrent Partner activity using a win-win approach.
  • Develop, Support and track programs that lead to Design Wins with Partners
  • Prioritization programs that deepen relationships, accelerate business, satisfy customers and maximize team efficiency
  • Work closely with Partner sales and marketing teams to prioritize and schedule visits from the NuCurrent Sales, Engineering, and Executive teams, maximizing their time to assist in driving business objectives
  • Provide support to partners for opportunity qualification during the pre-sales phase. Assist in revenue attainment through direct customer interface
  • Engage new and existing contacts within assigned customers at various levels and throughout the sales lifecycle to ensure NuCurrent’s business objectives are achieved
  • Assist in developing Partner targeted sales and marketing materials, track and communicate business progress, manage escalations internally and with the Partner effectively
  • Log Partner and program data using company CRM, forecasting and reporting tools
  • Generate / translate Partner specific presentations to clearly communicate company offerings, proposals, and partner communication

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (engineering, business, technology management), MBA or MS Engineering is a plus, or equivalent combination of education/training and experience
  • 5+ years related industry and work experience in Technical Business Development / Sales / Marketing in the electronics industry
  • Functional familiarity with electronic product manufacturing, test, equipment and design process
  • Experience with one or more market segments including consumer electronics, mobile, wearables, medical, industrial or automotive
  • Proven partner relationship experience
  • Ability to travel as required
