Position Title: Marketing Intern (Paid)

Location: Chicago, IL (West Loop) – Company Headquarters

Position Summary: The Marketing Intern will support day-to-day operations of NuCurrent’s outbound/digital marketing, content publishing and sales enablement activities. Successful candidates will have:

  • Desire to thrive in an evolving entrepreneurial environment on a fast-paced commercialization team
  • Engineering background and/or strong aptitude to learn, interpret and communicate technical engineering concepts across a variety of media (white papers, videos, PPT, etc.)
  • Solid research, writing and project management skills
  • Desire to develop experience in and support all aspects of the company’s marketing and communications activities

Experience: Candidates with the following experience will receive priority consideration:

  • Solid computer skills, including MS Office
  • Solid research, written communication and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools, processes and techniques
  • Strong analytical skills with a goal-oriented attitude
  • Working towards Bachelors or Associates degree in Marketing or relevant field

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily administrative tasks to ensure the Marketing department runs smoothly
  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities
  • Gather and analyze customer behavior data (e.g. web traffic and rankings)
  • Create reports on marketing and sales metrics, like conversion rates
  • Assist with organizing promotional events
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams to create advertising material (e.g. brochures and newsletters)
  • Keep organized records of marketing metrics and results of past campaigns
  • Monitor and document competitors’ marketing activities
