What is Slotted Power?
In the Ki specification, the Auxiliary Power and Communications portion, sometimes called “Slotted Power” provides power and data for:
- Appliance identification, start-up, and initialization
- Auxiliary power for user interface – no batteries required
- Safety checks such as Foreign Object Detection
- OEM differentiation with added features & functionality
