the process behind
wireless power design
NuCurrent’s wireless power experts will guide
you from concept to mass production.
Nobody knows your industry better than
you do.
Nobody knows your industry better than
you do.
But how does wireless power fit into it? That’s where NuCurrent comes in.
We’re a solutions-focused team of wireless power engineers with unmatched product development experience. Our proven process ensures your product gets to production fast, with no surprises.
Phase 1: Discover
In the Discover phase, NuCurrent takes its entire wireless power system development cycle, and matches it to your team’s product development phase gates. You’ll be asked questions such as:
- What are your customer pain points?
- Are you a first-mover or follower with wireless power?
- How will wireless power increase product value?
- What is your intended ROI?
- How does your team execute product ideation?
Then, to ensure solid footing for project kick-off, customers will provide a Product Requirements Document (PRD) intended to help our team understand all of your requirements, including:
- Performance requirements
- Product constraints
- Key competitor benchmarks
- Launch timing
- Partner preferences
After our teams are aligned, we’ll explore inductive and inductive resonant solution opportunities; discuss limitations and wireless power design trade-offs; and ultimately determine a path forward.
PHASE 01 DELIVERABLES:
Phase 2: Design
Once the project is in motion, we tap into our wireless power design technology and in-house expertise to develop solutions quickly by:
- Assigning a team of interdisciplinary engineers to your product, lead by a dedicated project manager
- Utilizing our platform designs and expertise in customization to finalize the wireless power architecture to meet your product needs
- Using proprietary methods for simulation and design to correlate to real-world electronics and magnetics characteristics, thermal performance, and system efficiency within 2.5%
As NuCurrent engineers work on developing a solution, your designated project manager will assess the availability of industry resources to ensure your team is getting the best solution for you.
PHASE 02 DELIVERABLES:
*Tested In-Situ Through prototype, EVT and DVT phases
Phase 3: Deliver
Embedding a wireless power system into a product is one of the most challenging aspects of wireless power product design. During the final phase, NuCurrent continues to work alongside your team to ensure that our in-lab performance translates to real-world products. With our wireless power technology in over 500M devices, NuCurrent’s mass-production expertise touches every step along the way.
