(CHICAGO – MAY 16, 2018) –NuCurrent, an industry leader in wireless power systems and technology development, announces the granting of six patents by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The new patents focus on improving the performance and reducing the size of wireless power antennas, and further strengthen the international intellectual property position of NuCurrent by bringing the company to over 75 patents granted or pending worldwide.
The granted patents provide performance and form factor advantages for wireless power systems that require multiple wireless protocols and/or a reduced bill-of-materials (BOM) cost. For example, NuCurrent can combine Qi, AirFuel and NFC coils all onto one substrate and utilize common turns and connections to reduce the overall footprint of the printed circuit board (PCB) while simultaneously enhancing performance.
